Conference Brief Introduction:
Shanghai Jiao Tong University successfully held the first International Business School Shanghai Conference in 2006. More than 110 deans from business schools all round the world participated in the conference and conducted a fruitful discussion over the topic of ¡°Cross-culture Leadership - Integration between East and West¡±.
On Nov.4th 2008, the 2nd International Business School Shanghai Conference will be held. More than 90 deans from the world renowned business schools, and 50 CEOs from 500 companies will participate in the conference, sharing insights upon the theme of ¡°The responsibilities of Business Schools¡±.
In 2008, the world will witness the Beijing Olympic Games focusing global attention on China. In the same year, Antai College of Management & Economics, SJTU, will celebrate its 90th anniversary. Business schools, as an important part of today¡¯s societies, have undertaken significant social responsibilities. Not only have they trained a large number of talents for enterprises in a steady stream, but the academic achievements in terms of socio-economic researches have been applied to help enterprises grow significantly. On the other hand, the society supplies business schools with essential resources that are needed for the business schools to run smoothly. In a word, the relationship between business schools and the society can be compared to that of fish and water. Therefore, how business schools from all over the world deal with this relationship correctly and effectively will be this forum¡¯s major highlight.
